Statement by Red Youth Rising | Mar. 1, 2026–

On Feb. 28, 2026, the fascist American and Israeli states launched an unjustifiable war against Iran and the Iranian people. Red Youth Rising vehemently condemns this act of aggression which was carried out on behalf of the American and Israeli capitalist class for the purposes of war profiteering and the imperialist redivision of the region.

We demand an end to this war for profit, and demand nothing less than the utter destruction of the American and Israeli bourgeois states which have caused this conflict. We refuse to believe lies about “spreading democracy” or fearmongering about nuclear weapons spread by bourgeois media, which attempt to hide this conflict’s true goal of furthering the American capitalists’ ability to exploit labor and the planet. 

To the utter horror of the working youth across the world, the Iranian youth have already become primary targets of imperialist violence with the grotesque murder of at least 148 students and others at a girls’ school in southern Iran.

The youth have always been disproportionately affected by the violence which imperialism necessitates in both the long and short term, and this conflict will be no different.

It is the duty of all working youth around the globe, and particularly those in the United States, to stand in opposition to this war and the capitalist class responsible for it. 

Wherever we can, the working youth must make the capitalists’ ability to carry out this war as difficult as possible by taking to the streets, walking out of school and work, and organizing to shut down arms production and shipments! No complacency with imperialism! No war with Iran!
