Declaration of the Revolutionary Government: Cuba condemns new Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people
The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba expresses its strongest condemnation of the criminal repression of the Israeli army against the defenseless Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip, which has killed at least 52 people and left more than 2,400 injured. This fact constitutes another serious and flagrant violation of the UN Charter and International Humanitarian Law and a new outrage against the Palestinian people.
Cuba reiterates its rejection of the unilateral action of the United States government to establish its diplomatic representation in the city of Jerusalem, in outright disrespect for international legality and the resolutions of the United Nations, which further aggravates tensions in the region. .
The Revolutionary Government once again reiterates its unrestricted support for a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the creation of two states, which allows the Palestinians the right to self-determination and to have a independent and sovereign state in the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
