On Feb. 28, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. Iran Standard Time, American and Israeli forces launched a series of coordinated military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

Although events are still unfolding as of the time of writing, it appears that the Iranian cities of Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz have been struck. US and Israeli sources claim that Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure are being targeted. Both US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have asserted that the attacks are “preemptive” and intended to destroy Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities — the very same military and nuclear capabilities that President Trump claimed to have “obliterated” in June of 2025.

In response, Iran has launched missile and drone strikes at multiple targets, including northern Israel, and US military bases in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

One Israeli strike hit an elementary school in Iran, killing 51 schoolgirls.

The American Party of Labor vehemently denounces the savage and illegal acts of aggressive war on the part of the US and Israel, and stands in resolute solidarity with peoples of Iran. We call upon all our friends and comrades, on all democratic and progressive forces, and on all people of good conscience to take to the streets and protest these acts of imperialist barbarism to the fullest extent possible.

Further, we denounce those political and media figures of both mainstream parties and all political tendencies who have encouraged, supported, aided and abetted the actions and policies that have resulted in this attack on the national sovereignty and the peoples of Iran, up to and including all who cynically and shamefully promoted Trump as “the peace candidate.”

The judgement of history will be just, but severe; and the “epic fury” of the peoples will fall upon the heads of all imperialist warmongers, their enablers and lackeys.

No to imperialist war!
