National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression | Jan. 3 2026—

The National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression condemns this morning’s illegal bombing of Venezuela as well as the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. Today’s operation isn’t only unlawful. It’s a clear message that this administration will resort to any tactics to force yet another country to relinquish its resources to the United States.
We observe how the U.S. has utilized the rhetoric and tools from its War on Drugs to attack President Maduro, labeling him the head of a fictitious Venezuelan drug cartel and blaming him for sending “violent Venezuelan gangs and drugs” into the U.S. This administration has been empowered by the inaction of Congress to commit flagrant war crimes against Venezuelan citizens, killing fishermen without trial, and now kidnapping a democratically elected President. These were also among the excuses offered by this administration in 2025’s racist and repressive deployment of the National Guard and federal law enforcement into our cities. Not only must we oppose any war or further escalation on the people of Venezuela, we must oppose the racist lies the Trump administration spouts.
For those thinking the attacks on Venezuela aren’t our business, we encourage you to think about how the U.S. has utilized similar racist lies to further the repression of our communities. We are told that Black and brown cities are filled with drug dealers and criminals, so they spend billions on police forces to kill and arrest us. We are told Venezuelans and other Latin Americans are drug dealers and criminals, so the country spends billions to harass and abuse them in detention centers.. The billions of dollars this country spends on police budgets and the war machine can be spent getting us better jobs, public schools, healthcare, proper infrastructure, and the overall improvement of quality of life in our country.
Money for war, but they can’t feed the poor!
The NAARPR, its branches and affiliates, will join people in the streets to demand hands off Venezuela. We unite with the people of Venezuela demanding the release of President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who are now political prisoners of the U.S.
NO WAR ON VENEZUELA!
